Making Sunday the Best Day of a Child's Week

Welcome to Joyful Kids!

If there was one word to describe our children’s ministry at The House it would be ‘MASSIVE’,  although it may not seem like it to the casual observer. Almost a third of our resources goes to making sure our children grow up in the ways of the Lord and become useful members of the community.

Sundays are great!

Our big objective in Children’s Church is “Making Sunday the Best Day of a Child’s Week”

Your child will learn a lot and have a lot of fun in age-appropriate classes – Bubbles is for children ages 3 to 6, Glow is for children ages 7 to 9, Xtreme is for children ages 10-13, and Grid is for children ages 14 to 16. It’s Serious Church + Serious Fun

Summers are great!

Summer Kids Club

This usually takes place in the first week of the school summer break and its a very big item on the children’s ministry agenda with lots of forward planning. It is open to everyone (children from the community and other churches regularly attend this annual event). Each year is themed and this year’s theme is Scuba!
Our Summer Kids Club learning God’s word, with songs, drama sketches, and outings to the beach, zoo, amusement park, and other interesting places. This year we are going to the massive London Aquarium!

AND there’s lots of gear to take away – t-shirts, pens, toys, the lot! Plus, did we mention plenty of food to eat?

Summer Camps

Summer camps are held every year for children 12-15. Sometimes it’s camping by the lake, sometimes it’s forest camping. Safety, fun, and biblical teaching are guaranteed. All our children who go to these summer camps always come back refreshed, encouraged, and with bags of inspiration. We are looking to expand our summer camping activities soon to include a wider age group. Again, watch this space or subscribe to our eNewsletter to be kept up to date.

Summer Sundays

Your children will enjoy church in the summer. Many times, if it’s not raining, children have their classes in the park next to the church—with plenty of fresh air, lots of food, games, and more. Of course, it’s not just fun; your children will also be taught what God says about them and how they are expected to behave. Summer’s great at The House.

Our Super Children’s Ministry Pastors

Resources

We provide many resources to parents to help them teach their children the word of God. One key way is through the thousands of Christian kids’ videos and resources on RightNow Media. You’ll need login details, though, so be sure to ask any of our Children’s Ministry pastors; they’ll be happy to help.

We also offer courses on parenting toddlers and teens. Please use the contact form below to request more information.

Safeguarding

We take safeguarding seriously in our church. Our number one priority is the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of your child or ward. To this end, all our children’s pastors are DBS-vetted. The church also has a CCTV system that keeps everyone safe.

Besides, we adhere strictly to the prescribed teacher-to-child ratios. All of the children in our care are properly documented for their health, allergies, etc. The church also partners with parents to ensure children get the best Biblical education possible. Still, we are also keen to know how your child is doing in school, academically and otherwise. The church also runs a mentoring scheme which is available to all parents whose children are enrolled in our children’s church.  Please ask.
