Armstrong studied architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London and joined Foster + Partners in 1987. Having worked on projects in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and the USA, he plays a unique role that combines his responsibilities as a permanent member of the Design Board with close involvement in carefully selected projects that benefit from his expertise. His recent projects include CityCenterDC, 50 United Nations Plaza New York, Oceanwide Center, San Francisco and The Murray Hotel in Hong Kong.
